Welcome to the start of another great summer at Camp Odyssey! Camp is a magical time of year. We are very excited to have you join us for a summer full of fun games, songs, wacky science, dance, outdoor adventures, arts and crafts, sports, and much, much more.

At Camp Odyssey, our mission is to provide the highest quality experiences, in an extraordinary environment that makes a difference in children's lives, creating memories that last a lifetime.

An action packed, choice filled schedule is planned. Most importantly, a talented staff of energetic, spirited, and enthusiastic counselors is here to engineer safe, silly, and educational activities. Welcome aboard as we embark on this once-in-a-lifetime journey!

Payment and Registration Info
All balances are due in full at time of registration. All campers must be registered by Thursday of the preceding week in order to attend camp on Monday. You must register online or have a credit card on file to register by phone.

Day Camp Groups
Our day camp is divided into individual age groups that campers travel within throughout the day. Our groups are; "Setting Sail" (Pre K-Kindegarden), led by Susan Boone; "Sunfish" (grades 1-2), led by Mallory Melton; "Marlins" (grades 3-4), led by Bobby Gordy; "Dolphins" (grades 5-6), led by Jamar Garner; and Teen Camp (grades 7-8) led by Katie Vincent. Please refer to our website's Summer Day Camp section for more information, including who your child's counselors will be this summer and group room/cubbie locations.

Setting Sail Info
Reminders for Setting Sail campers (for more info, contact Susan Boone at Susan@campodyssey.org):

Pack a morning snack and beverage in addition to your lunch items each day.

Please send any necessary items such as pillows and blankets for "Quiet Time," even if you do not wish for your child to nap. If you do NOT wish for your child to nap, please let us know that and we will provide quiet reading time as an alternative.

Please label all personal items belonging to your camper with his/her name.

Please keep a change of clothes, swimsuit, and towel in your camper's cubby at all times.

Please let us know any specific expectations you may have for your child's lunch.

Teen Camp Info
Teen Camp is led by the exceptional combination of Head Group Leader Katie Vincent, veteran teen counselor Greg Cannon, and counselors Deanna Adams and Nathan Weeks. Drop-Off (begins at 8:30AM) and Pick-Up (3:00PM) will be at the side of the Upper School Gym building.

Campers should always have: a change of clothes on hand, any necessary toiletries, a packed lunch (unless lunch is purchased), and a positive attitude!

Teen Camp has a planned trip every week, but make sure to check the website for trip information changes. It is recommended that campers have sunscreen, sunglasses, and bug spray on hand.

Locker rooms will be available for storage of personal items; however locks will not be allowed. Therefore, we strongly discourage bringing valuables to camp and are not responsible for any lost or stolen property.

Camp staff will not tolerate poor behavior and reserve the right to refuse any Teen camper from attending any trips or activities because of poor behavior

Carpool
3:00PM Dismissal occurs from 3 locations; Setting Sail campers from the tunnel; Sunfish, Marlins, and Dolphins from the Lower School gym; and Teens from the Upper School gym. Security measures have been put into place to insure the safety of your child. Please read the following dismissal procedure carefully.

As drivers pull up to the circle, the dispatcher will hand them a clipboard with a sign-out form which asks for the camper's name, group name, dismissal time, and driver's name. Please write legibly. A driver's license may be required to verify ID. Remain in your car while waiting for your camper. If you need to speak with a staff member, please park in the parking lot and sign your camper out directly with the Head Group
Leader.

5:00 - 5:30PM Dismissal will be handled in the same manner as the 3:00PM dismissal, except that all campers will be in the Lower School Gym.

NOTE: Campers who need to be picked up before the 3:00 dismissal, or between 3:30 and 5:00, as asked to park their vehicle and sign the camper out at the front desk.

After-Camps
Please check our website's Summer Day Camp section for more information regarding specific after-camp experiences (3:15-5:30). Feel free to contact us for more details about any of our program offerings. Please be prompt in picking up your campers. After 5:35, a $10 fee will be assessed.

Specialty Camps
Please check the Specialty Camps section for more detailed information regarding individual specialty camp experiences. Feel free to contact us for more details about any of our program offerings. All specialty campers are welcome to bring a snack to their activity. Specialty campers should be dropped off and picked up at the Upper School Gym unless otherwise noted in the catalog.

Behavior Contract
Camp Odyssey is about fun, friendship and respect for others. Each Camper and Parent is asked to sign a Code of Conduct explaining the camp philosophy and how disputes and issues are managed by the staff.   • 8:30AM at Ocean Pines (Ocean Pines Library)
  • 9:00AM arrive at Camp

  • 3:15PM leave Camp
  • 3:45PM at Berlin (old Ames shopping center by Taylor Bank)
  • 4:00PM at Ocean City (White Marlin Mall - near Radio Shack)
  • 4:15PM at Ocean Pines (Ocean Pines Library)

Bus/Van Safety
Parents/guardians are responsible for the care of their children before pick-up and after drop-off. Once on the bus, the bus driver and camp counselor are responsible for the safety and behavior management of all campers. Campers are expected to act in a safe and respectful manner and follow all rules. Camp Odyssey reserves the right to remove any camper from the bus if his/her behavior is detrimental to the safety of the other campers.

Transportation Changes
We will make changes only if we receive a written note from you or another authorized individual. Please give the bus driver these notes in the morning when your child boards the bus. The bus driver will then pass along the information to the transportation coordinator who will make the necessary changes on the afternoon's bus list. If you should find it necessary to change your child's travel arrangements during the camp day, please call camp before 2:00PM.

Lunch Program
Camp Odyssey offers a lunch program for day campers during the summer. Papa John's Pizza (Mondays), Subway (Tuesdays), Arby's (Wednesdays), Salsarita's (Thursdays), and Red Door Sub Shop (Fridays) will be available. Each lunch consists of an item of your choice with a bag
of chips/cookies and bottled water. All orders must be completed online by 9:00AM Monday morning each week. No exceptions!
